AVEVA™ Historian Server + Historian Client + Reports for Operations

The AVEVA™ Historian course is a 1.5-day, instructor-led class designed to provide a fundamental understanding of the features and functionality of Historian for both Application Server and Traditional InTouch tag-based applications. This information includes how to configure, historize, and retrieve historical data; retrieve auto-summary data; implement data replication to a remote historian; insert, update, and import historical data; and employ the Historian Classic Event system.

 

The AVEVA™ Historian Client course is a 1.5-day, instructor-led class designed to provide a fundamental understanding of the features and functionality of the AVEVA™ Historian Client software. The AVEVA™ Historian Client trending, analysis, and reporting software offers a suite of data analysis and reporting clients that maximize the value of data stored in Historian. AVEVA™ Historian Client enables individuals at all levels of an organization to easily access plant- and process-related data through simple point-and-click dialog boxes.

 

The AVEVA™ Reports for Operations course is originally a 3-day virtual instructor-led class, compressed to one day. It is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of the features and functionality of the AVEVA Reports for Operations software.

 

This training includes lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on labs designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills to effectively use Historian for SCADA, Historian Client, and design and generate reports using AVEVA Reports for Operations.

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

Historian Server

  • Start and configure Historian
  • Configure and historize Application Server and InTouch data
  • Distinguish between retrieval modes
  • Retrieve data with SQL queries
  • Use time domain extensions in SQL queries
  • Update, insert, and import historical data
  • Create and configure events and retrieve event data
  • Use a Tier-2 Historian for replication and summarization
  • Back up and restore Historian data

Historian Client

  • Use AVEVA™ Historian Client Trend to retrieve and represent AVEVA™ Historian data in graphical and tabular formats
  • Use AVEVA™ Historian Client Workbook to retrieve historical data in Microsoft Excel
  • Use AVEVA™ Historian Client Query to build and execute queries against AVEVA™ Historian data and represent them in the desktop utility and in Microsoft Excel
  • Use AVEVA™ Historian Client Workbook to execute queries from AVEVA™ Historian Client Query represent them in Microsoft Word

Reports for Operations

  • Create and configure a Project
  • Connect to System Platform data sources to use as data for reports
  • Configure and run reports that include the following features:
    • Templates
    • Single value displays
    • Statistical elements
    • Tables and Charts
    • Alarms reports and analysis
    • Dynamic web elements
  • Use the Web Portal to access and generate reports
